WHITE PLAINS, NY, January 29, 2007. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.(R) (NYSE:HOT) today announced the opening of The Westin(R) Chicago Northwest in the Hamilton Lakes Business Park in Itasca. The hotel features 408 guestrooms and 29 suites, as well as extensive meeting and banquet facilities. The 12-story atrium provides versatile space for a variety of large and small group events, as well as providing an inviting and relaxing gathering place for guests. The hotel is owned by Columbia Sussex Corporation and will be managed under a long-term management agreement with Starwood(R). As part of the conversion of the hotel, Columbia Sussex completed a $20 million renovation of the property.

At The Westin Chicago Northwest, guests can enjoy the proximity to downtown Chicago and both O'Hare International Airport and the burgeoning Woodfield shopping and dining district, while being pampered with Westin's signature amenities and services.
