CLEARWATER BEACH, FL - June 6, 2011 - Construction is underway on the new 42-room Coconut Cove Boutique Hotel, which will be the first all-suites hotel in Clearwater Beach when it opens this summer.

“We feel there is significant demand for an all-suite boutique hotel on the north Pinellas County beaches,” said Gilles Arditi, President of Southwind Hospitality, which will be managing the new hotel. “We expect Coconut Cove to be extremely attractive to families, business travelers, long-term stay professionals, and anyone who wants the convenience of preparing and eating their meals onsite.”

The new all-suite boutique hotel, located across the street from the beach, will feature full kitchens, balconies, a large tropical pool, free wi-fi, outstanding service, and easy access to the beachfront amenities of its neighboring sister property, Quality Hotel on the Beach. Coconut Cove, which is planned to open in late July, will have rooms ranging from 550 to 750 square feet, with nightly rates in the $130-$250 range.

The hotel, which is being built from the shell of a previously existing hotel, is owned by Steve Page, who works closely with Southwind on a number of projects.

Southwind, one of Florida's top hotel management companies, is already working to let potential customers know about Coconut Cove, with marketing outreach underway to such groups as travel agencies and tourism associations. Also, the new hotel is expected to appeal to visitors who previously had to find rental condos for all-suite rooms on the beach.
