Toronto, ON - July 6, 2011: Effective immediately, Groupe Germain Co-President Mme. Christiane Germain announces the executive appointment of Didier Obeuf to the newly created position of Vice President of Operations, responsible for a national portfolio from his Toronto, Ontario base.

Obeuf oversees comprehensive operations for Groupe Germain's family owned business with interests across the country including its Boutique-hotels as well as ALT hotels, which are imminently poised for ambitious national growth in major markets from East to West. The newest ALT hotel is under construction at Pearson International with opening scheduled for Spring 2012.

Obeuf's professional legacies with prestigious and successful companies - from Westmont Hospitality to the Evian Royal Resort in France to Accor North America - afford him the insight and tools to readily implement change in keeping with Groupe Germain strategic plans.

Born in the South of France, Obeuf has held increasingly senior tourism and hospitality positions from Paris to Monte Carlo. Most recently Obeuf was the Regional Asset Manager for Westmont Hospitality, overseeing the Fairmont portfolio in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec. Prior to his role with Westmont, career highlights included: General Manager of Sofitel properties in Miami and Houston; General Manager of the Novotel Toronto Centre; Managing Director of the Danone Group's Evian Royal Resort in France; and Senior Vice President of Operations, Canada, for Accor North America.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and to complement his hotel management portfolio, Obeuf has completed several leadership and management courses, as well as the Cornell Executive Program.
