PHUKET, THAILAND - July 8, 2011 - Thanyapura, Phuket's innovative hospitality and sports group, is delighted to announce the appointment of highly respected hotelier, Mr Robert C. Hauck , as Group President of its unrivaled hotel and sport facilities as of September 1, 2011.

Mr Hauck has developed a reputation for visionary leadership and has achieved wide recognition for distinguished performances in hotel management and sales and marketing during his 23-year career on four continents. He is also an enthusiastic triathlete and sportsman.

Prior to his most recent role as General Manager at the award winning Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor in Cambodia, Mr Hauck held management positions at renowned luxury hotels across Asia Pacific, including Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei, Island Shangri-La Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur and Pudong Shangri-La in Shanghai.
