Resort at Squaw Creek Appoints New GM

Olympic Valley, CA - July 19, 2011 - Executives at Destination Hotels & Resorts have announced that Eric Sather will take over the helm as the new General Manager for Resort at Squaw Creek™, the 405-room resort at the base of Squaw Valley USA, near Lake Tahoe. Sather, who served as General Manager of the Water Color Inn and Resort in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, brings over 25 years of hotel management experience to the Tahoe-area resort.

“Eric Sather's extensive background with luxury ski properties and resorts will be invaluable to Resort at Squaw Creek, a perennial Conde Nast Traveler 'Top 50' ski hotel,” said Mark Hickey, Senior Vice President, Hospitality Operations at Destination Hotels & Resorts. “We look forward to welcoming him to the Destination team, and his leadership at one of our marquee resorts.”

Prior to heading up management of The WaterColor Inn and Resort, Sather served as General Manager at The Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa in Telluride, Colorado, Robert Redford's Sundance Resort, Aspen Meadows Resort in Aspen, Colorado and the IBM Learning Center, IBM's hotel and conference center at their world headquarters in New York. He is a graduate of Trinity University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Sather will be relocating to the Lake Tahoe area with his wife and two children.
