July 25, 2011 - Cedarbrook Lodge, the No. 1 hotel in the world on the Expedia ® 2011 Insiders' Select® List and No. 1 hotel in the U.S. in the TripAdvisor® 2011 Travelers' Choice® Awards, is pleased to announce the appointment of Meredith Mara as director of sales. In addition to this role, Mara will retain her position as Coastal Hotel Group's National Director of Sales, which she has held since June 2008.

As National Director of Sales, Mara, a hospitality industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience, will serve as liaison between the hotel's sales teams and corporate leadership by assisting with management, support and sales for the properties in Coastal Hotel Group's portfolio. As Director of Sales for Cedarbrook Lodge, Mara will develop, execute and lead a successful sales solicitation strategy by market segment to meet or exceed established revenue goals.

Mara's lengthy hospitality career includes more than 10 years in director of sales positions. Prior to joining Coastal Hotel Group, Mara was the director of sales and marketing for Coast Bellevue Hotel from 2005 to 2008 and a senior sales manager from 1999 to 2005.

Mara resides in West Seattle with her son who recently graduated high school. In her spare time she enjoys playing on a recreational soccer team, photography, reading, community service and spending time with family and friends.
