McKibbon Hotel Group Opens Sixth Knoxville Hotel
Hampton Inn & Suites Knoxville-Turkey Creek/Farragut Opening July 29, 2011
KNOXVILLE, TN - July 26, 2011 - McKibbon Hotel Group, Inc. celebrates the opening of their sixth Knoxville hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites Knoxville-Turkey Creek/Farragut on July 29, 2011.
The 105-room property is conveniently located near both I-75 and I-40 in the 300-acre Turkey Creek retail venue, featuring a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options, many within walking distance. Guests are invited to explore the contemporary design and amenities offered in the brand new hotel, including 660 square feet of meeting space, fitness center, outdoor pool and fire pit patio area. A variety of room options are available, including king-sized bed and double queen-sized beds, each offering free wireless high-speed Internet access and a portable lap desk.

During a time of occupational uncertainty, McKibbon is adding 24 new employees to the Knoxville workforce with the opening of this new hotel, in addition to the 120 employees who comprise the company's five existing Knoxville hotels. Tom O'Neil , former general manager of McKibbon-owned SpringHill Suites by Marriott Turkey Creek, will serve as the Hampton Inn & Suites' opening general manager.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Turkey Creek/Farragut is McKibbon's third joint venture with Turkey Creek Land Partners, LLC . The project was managed by Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. , a Florida-based contracting and construction management company.
