New GM at Embassy Suites Santa Clara-Silicon Valley
August 3, 2011 - Hilton Worldwide today announced the appointment of Marion Abaunza as General Manager of Embassy Suites Santa Clara- Silicon Valley.
Abaunza will report to Hilton Worldwide Area Vice President, Ben Fusco. The 257-suite hotel is located in the heart of Silicon Valley, near Santa Clara Convention Center and minutes from San Jose Airport.

Most recently, Abaunza was the interim General Manager of Embassy Suites - Milpitas. She also assisted in opening the second phase of Viceroy Resort in the British West Indies. Prior to that, she worked as the Assistant General Manager for Embassy Suites South San Francisco for six years where she successfully managed a two-year $12 million renovation of rooms, meeting space and public areas. Abaunza also held various other positions in the travel and hospitality sectors including Customer Service and Operations Manager position for the Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau. She holds a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Golden Gate University and has worked in the hotel industry for over 20 years.
