GETTYS Adds Accomplished Industry Veteran to Global Design Team
International Design, Procurement and Development Firm Expands its New York Office with Three New Hires
Augst 15, 2011 - Global hospitality design, procurement, branding and development firm, GETTuYS announced the appointment of Christopher Kochuba as a design director in the New York City office.
Kochuba has more than 15 years of hospitality experience focused on interior design management while working with the industry's most iconic international brands. Prior to joining GETTYS, Kochuba played an integral role in the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide team from the earliest stages. Kochuba focused on development planning, programming, architecture and interior design for the W Hotels, St. Regis Hotels and The Luxury Collection brands throughout the world.

Kochuba's most recent works include Waldorf Astoria hotels in Shanghai and Orlando, Fla; St. Regis hotels in Punta Mita, Mexico City, New York City, Washington D.C. and Aspen, Colo; and the renovations of the Hilton Times Square in New York City and Renaissance Westchester in West Harrison, N.Y.
GETTYS also welcomes Christopher Alvarado as a project designer and Sophia Chan as a designer. Prior to joining GETTYS, Alvarado worked as a senior lead designer at Studio Collective in Los Angeles. Chan previously worked as an interior designer at Rockwell Group in New York City. Both Alvarado and Chan will work under the direction of Kochuba in GETTYS' New York office.
