Hoseasons Implements Prophet

. October 14, 2008

UNITED KINGDOM, August 9, 2005. Hoseasons has implemented Prophet, speed-trap's Dynamic Data Collection Technology on their website at www.hoseasons.co.uk

The key requirements for implementing Prophet are to track website visitors' and booking/purchasers' behaviour, plus the ability to re- visit and mine historical information. The ensuing data will enable the Hoeseasons website to be constantly monitored and maintained at its optimum level, thus enhancing the web visitor's experience whilst maximising online business.

Commenting upon installing Prophet, Tim Fullam, Marketing Director at Hoseasons said, "Prior to Prophet we'd tried another product purporting to provide us with the information we sought, albeit without real success, so after researching the market we replaced it with Prophet. Prophet provides us with crucial management information and associated site performance indicators regarding all facets of our website and its usage which in turn, enables us to appreciate exactly what our visitors wish to do, and understanding that means we're able to take action to improve visitors' experiences and in turn increase web site effectiveness and revenues."

Fullam continued, "We really needed to review our website regarding definitive usability information, and had consulted our various web development and e-marketing consultants, who had each recommended different proposals, all with differing cost allocations - a less than ideal scenario. Furthermore, our existing supplier needed us to upgrade their software and add more servers to attempt to provide the results we sought - which would have incurred significant additional expense. Prophet however, despite its more powerful functionality, runs on just one server, is not limited by page impressions, runs on one database for multiple domains and, along with other capabilities, also captures a totally complete data set. An additional plus was Prophet's rapid deployment - a couple of days and we were all systems go, and in a really competitive sector such as ours that, allied to the ongoing low cost of ownership and zero maintenance, were positive factors too."

Announcing the business, Malcolm Duckett, speed-trap's VP of Marketing said: "With the general public increasingly using the web as their preferred choice for researching and purchasing travel, holiday and related products or services, it's crucial that those in this market sector do all they possibly can to ensure their websites are as user friendly and intuitive as possible. This market sector is one in which Prophet, speed-trap's Dynamic Collection technology excels, having been used very effectively by organisations such as KLM, Tourism Ireland, Nucleus and Topic Travel."

Elaborating, Duckett continued: "Unlike other analytics tools, such as those based on web server logs or other traditional tagging methods, Prophet works by observing events in real-time in the user's browser rather than on the server, whilst also providing dashboards with full campaign behavioural, performance, search and form-filling analysis. This enables us to target what really matters - monitoring the visitors and customers, not the technology. We are able therefore to provide powerful, accurate and instant management information, the end result being a visitor friendly and more profitable site".
