Delta Appoints New GM of Delta Whistler
August 31, 2011 - Delta Hotels and Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Perry to General Manager of Delta Whistler Village Suites effective September 12, 2011.
In his new position, Perry will oversee the resort's operations bringing over 11 years of industry experience, all of which he spent in progressive leadership positions within the Delta brand. This includes his most recent position as Director of Operations at Delta Lodge at Kananaskis, during which he took on his first hotel leadership assignment when he became the Acting Hotel Manager for Delta Vancouver Airport in Richmond, BC.
Perry remains active in his community as a member of SAIT's Industry Advisory Board and a representative on the Kananaskis Firesmart Committee and Canmore Hotel and Lodging Association. Perry also currently champions all of Delta Kananaskis' charitable initiatives.
Perry holds a Diploma in Food and Beverage Management from Fanshawe College and is a Certified Rooms Division Executive by the American Hotel & Lodging Institute. He also completed his Strategic Leadership Certificate from E-Cornell. Perry will be relocating to Whistler from Cochrane at the beginning of September.
