Omni Chicago Hotel Announces New Leadership

Industry Veteran Named General Manager at Michigan Avenue's Award-winning Property

Chicago, IL - August 31, 2011 - Omni Hotels & Resorts has appointed Joe Pinto as general manager of the all-suites, four-star Omni Chicago Hotel, located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile. Under Pinto's leadership, the Omni Chicago hotel will continue to provide the award-winning service which guests have come to expect.

With more than 30 years of hotel management experience, as well as a wealth of knowledge about the Windy City, Pinto previously served as vice president of Oakbrook Hotels & Resorts and general manager, Pheasant Run Resort, the Midwest's largest entertainment resort, located in the Chicago suburbs.

Pinto also served as general manager for various Wyndham hotels and was the regional vice president of operations for Wyndham's Midwest region. Additional leadership positions include a successful career with Marriott International, where he was the director of operations at Marriott Suites, O'Hare Airport, and opening general manager of multiple Courtyard by Marriott hotels. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Michigan State University and began his career with Marriott in the Detroit and Washington DC areas.
