Great Hotels of the World Launches Insider's Guide Competition
September 16, 2011 - Great Hotels of the World, the London-based hotel sales and marketing alliance, has launched a brand new writing competition where entrants will be asked to send in a 24-hour travel guide to their chosen destination. Great Hotels of the World wants entrants to provide insight on anything that they would recommend people do if they only had 24 hours in that particular place, which may include tips on the best places to visit, secret hotspots, exceptional food and so on.
The lucky winner will receive a four-night stay in Lisbon. Great Hotels of the World is offering entrants the chance to win four nights accommodation for two at the five-star Hotel Altis [http://www.ghotw.com/hotel-altis] in Lisbon, Portugal which has just undergone a five million euro refurbishment. The prize will also include sumptuous breakfasts every day, return airport transfer service (from Lisbon International Airport), cocktails at the hotel's S. Jorge panoramic bar and Portuguese delicatessen VIP treatment in the room upon arrival.
To win, entrants must submit a 24-hour travel guide to their chosen destination. Great Hotels of the World is searching for the most original, interesting and inspiring entries that will make even the least-travelled people want to book tickets tomorrow. Entries can be submitted by emailing [email protected] and Great Hotels of the World will then choose the lucky winner whose travel guide will be featured on the Great Hotels website [http://www.ghotw.com].
The deadline for this exciting competition is the 15th November 2011 and entries must be no longer than 750 words. Entrants may also include a maximum of three photographs if they believe it will better illustrate their guide.
