SEPTEMBER 19, 2011 - Room Mate Hotels officially re-opened Waldorf today, boasting an exquisite renovation to its vibrant interior as well as all 44 uniquely-appointed guest suites. Located in the heart of Miami and just steps from the beach, the renewal of the WaldorfTOWERS was completed by Ignacio Garcia Vinuesa, an acclaimed Spanish decorator who captured the heritage of the Room Mate brand through contemporary furnishings while also merging colorful textiles to offer guests a chic and sexy Miami feel.

"The grand re-opening of Waldorf will provide travelers with a boutique hotel experience equipped with stylish rooms, posh common areas and sophisticated decor at a reasonable price so they can enjoy South Beach's most popular restaurants, shopping, cultural and entertainment attractions," said Enrique (Kike) Sarasola, president and CEO of Room Mate Hotels. "As with all our Room Mate Hotels across the world, we wanted Waldorf to offer visitors a 'home away from home' feeling while they explore one of the country's most popular vacation destinations."

The Waldorf is scheduled to be the first LEED Certified hotel in Miami Beach. An internationally- recognized green building certification system, LEED verifies that Waldorf was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

While each Room Mate Hotel property is created with its own persona, Waldorf is characterized as athletic, charismatic and spontaneous. The property offers a dynamic, young approach to travel and incorporates elements of beauty, sophistication and culture in every facet of the hotel. Offering a welcoming environment to each of its guests, the mission of Waldorf is to provide a comfortable bed, a warm shower and personalized service to every visitor.

Prime Time Restaurant & Bar featuring contemporary American cuisine is conveniently located off the lobby of the hotel. Guests can take advantage of the restaurant and make reservations to dine-in or order room service. Each Deluxe Room, available at an average of $249 per night, features a luxury-hotel class bed and linens; a private, spa-like bath; and a host of modern-day amenities to offer a welcoming stay.
