FEBRUARY 8, 2007. Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH) announced the hiring of two new members to support the brand's architecture and interior design efforts. Joy Walther has been named to the newly-created position of director of architectural design and Brenda Wulff has been named to the new position of director of interior design.

'The addition of these two very talented individuals will help support the growth of the Cambria Suites brand,' said William Edmundson, vice president, brand management and strategy, Choice Hotels International. 'With 43 franchise agreements executed through the end of 2006, we have a lot of hotels in the design and construction phase. Brenda and Joy will play integral roles in supporting the design and architectural needs of our Cambria Suites franchisees.'

Wulff is responsible for leading all interior design activities for the Cambria Suites brand. She will serve as the primary interface and support in the coordination of all custom and prototypical projects as they relate to interior design, development and brand standards.

Since joining Choice in June 2005, she has led a team of designers and coordinators for ten of Choice Hotel International's brands including Cambria Suites. She worked closely with all brand teams to execute brand initiatives in the areas of product design and development.

Prior to joining Choice, Wulff spent more than nine years in various positions relating to interior design with Marriott International. She holds a master's degree in interior design from Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC and a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in arts & science and interior design.

Walther's new responsibilities include managing architectural development, maintaining architectural documents and standards, and managing site planning, prototype updating and document review processes.

For the past two years, she has been an architectural consultant for Choice Hotels, focusing exclusively on the Cambria Suites brand for the past year. Prior to that, she supported all Choice Hotels brands with responsibility for document reviews, development of rules and Regulations and general architectural design support.

Walther previously served as a project coordinator and design manager for Marriott International. She holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Wulff and Walther report to Don Griner, AIA, senior director, Cambria Suites design and construction.
