New Director of Group Sales in Place at CordeValle
SAN MARTIN, CA - December 6, 2011 - Marline M. Avelar is the new director of group sales for CordeValle, a Rosewood Resort just north of the Monterey Peninsula and only minutes from the heart of Silicon Valley. An effective sales manager and service expert with previous success at premier properties in the Monterey Bay area, Avelar assumes responsibility for development of local, regional and national group business programs at the resort.
Prior to joining CordeValle, Avelar served as sales manager at Monterey Plaza Hotel, where she was names Top Producer for 2010 and coordinated programs for targeted segments of Silicon Valley and Southern California.
A graduate of Chico State University (1996), Avelar also spent two years in sales for Seascape Resort in Aptos and has handled national sales for Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club, as well as Bernardus Lodge, both in Carmel Valley. She began her career in catering and conference services at Carmel Valley Ranch and Quail Lodge.
