Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Appoints General Managers for Dubai Properties
March 6, 2012 - The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Khazza Khamis as General Manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Downtown and Rob Collier as General Manager of the Radisson Blu Residence, Dubai Marina.
Kazzaz, a Jordanian national, has 20 years' worth of experience in the hospitality industry. He started his career as a restaurant manager in Canada, before moving back to the Middle East to work as Business Development Manager for the Hyatt Regency in Dubai.
In 2001, Kazzaz joined Rezidor as Director of Sales at the Middle East Regional Office in Dubai, where he was involved in several new openings and conversions whilst at the same time playing a pivotal role in developing the Radisson SAS brand. Kazzaz was then appointed as Executive Assistant Manager at the Radisson Blu Tala Bay Resort in Aqaba, Jordan, where he assisted with the pre-opening of the hotel.
His most recent position was as GM of the Radisson Blu Residence, Dubai Marina, the Dubai hotel which Collier will now take over.
Collier has 13 years in the hospitality industry. He started his career back in 2008 with Marriott in his home town of Manchester, UK. He then went on to hold several F&B and events related positions, before becoming Director of Operations for the Renaissance Hotel, Manchester City Centre in 2007.
Collier joined Rezidor in 2010 as the General Manager of the Radisson Blu Airport Hotel, Manchester. In his new role Collier will take charge of the stylish all-suite residence, located in Dubai Marina.
