110-room Courtyard Detroit Pontiac/Bloomfield in Michigan Has New GM
MERRILLVILLE, IN - March 26, 2012 - White Lodging is pleased to announce Silviya Stankova started as the general manager of the Courtyard Detroit Pontiac/Bloomfield March 17.
Stankova moved to the 110-room Courtyard Pontiac from her previous position at the assistant general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Novi.
"I am excited to take on my new role in this wonderful hotel," said Stankova. "When I met the team I was pleased with how nice everyone is. The hotel is set up for success, and I am fortunate to be part of the Courtyard Pontiac family."
Stankova graduated from the Sofia University in Sofia, Bulgaria with a focus on political science and management. She started her hospitality career as a housekeeping supervisor, and quickly worked her way up to housekeeping manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Novi before she joined the White Lodging Task Force, traveling to various hotels to perform management duties when their managers are away.
Stankova was part of the task force to help with the acquisition of the Hilton Garden Inn San Francisco, White Lodging's first hotel in California.
