Shaun Hauver New VP of Operations for Loews Hotels

ay 11, 2012 - Loews Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Shawn Hauver as Vice President of Operations. With more than 25 years of hospitality experience, including the last 13 years at Loews Miami Beach Hotel, he will manage all aspects of the Eastern Region of Loews Hotels.

As Vice President of Operations, Hauver will oversee Operations, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources and Finance and Revenue Management for: Loews Atlanta Hotel, Loews Annapolis Hotel, Loews Don CeSar Hotel, Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Loews Regency Hotel and the two Canadian properties, Loews Hotel Le Concorde in Quebec City and Loews Hotel Vogue in Montreal.

He began his career with Loews Hotels in 1999 as Director of Food and Beverage for Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Hauver quickly advanced to top leadership positions including Executive Assistant Manager, Hotel Manager and Managing Director. Under his leadership, the 790 room hotel was named one of the "Top 500 Hotels in the World" by Travel + Leisure and one of the "Top Spa Hotels in U.S." by Conde Nast Traveler. Most recently, Hauver held the title of Area Director of Operations, managing both Loews Miami Beach Hotel and the historic Loews Don CeSar Hotel.

Hauver is very active within the South Florida business, tourism and hospitality communities. He was a Member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Miami and Beaches Hotel Association, is a member of Florida International University's Advisory Board and has served as Vice President of Hotels for Miami-Dade's Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.

His past hospitality experience includes more than ten years of food and beverage related positions with Hyatt Hotels, working with properties such as the Hyatt Regency St. Louis, Mo., Hyatt Regency Greenville, S.C., Hyatt Regency, Hilton Head Resort, Hilton Head, S.C. and Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Orlando, Fla. Hauver began his career in the hotel industry as a Banquet Manager with the Sheraton Ocean City Resort and Conference Center in Ocean City, Md.
