Warwick New York Hotel Names Veteran Hotelier Andrew Schlesinger GM
September 11, 2012 - Warwick New York Hotel on West 54th Street has a new general manager as of Aug. 28. He is Andrew 'Drew' Schlesinger, a veteran hotelier whose career has taken him across major hotel brands in the Eastern United States, and Los Angeles, and as far away as Sydney.
Warwick New York Hotel on West 54th Street has a new general manager as of Aug. 28. He is Andrew 'Drew' Schlesinger, a veteran hotelier whose career has taken him across major hotel brands in the Eastern United States, and Los Angeles, and as far away as Sydney.
In making the announcement, G. Paul LeBlanc, vice president of marketing and sales for parent company Warwick International Hotels and Resorts, said, "Drew is a seasoned general manager whose tenure with a number of well-known hotel brands and New York City properties will greatly benefit Warwick New York Hotel. We especially look forward to tapping his management and food and beverage experience as we continue to enhance our suite product and restaurant/catering operations."
In joining Warwick New York Hotel, Schlesinger returns to the city from one-and-a-half years in Australia opening a five-star hotel and series of restaurants. Between 2003 and 2011, he occupied management positions with InterContinental Hotels Group, Kimpton Hotels & Resorts and the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. Earlier experience includes stints with such hotel brands as Ian Schrager, Four Seasons and Hyatt.
Schlesinger is a graduate of Boston University.
