Adrian Norbury Appointed DoSM at the Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel

September 14, 2012 - Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the premier manager of ultra-luxury properties around the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Norbury to Director of Sales & Marketing for The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel in New York City. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies for the legendary property.

Prior to this position, Norbury served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas for six years. In 2002, Norbury joined Rosewood Hotels & Resorts as Regional Director of Sales based in London and was responsible for sales efforts in the U.K. market. He then relocated to Texas to assume the role of Director of Sales for Rosewood's two Dallas hotels.

Prior to joining Rosewood, Norbury worked as the U.K. sales director for Jarvis Hotels, a U.K. hotel chain with more than 60 properties. During his 18-year tenure at Jarvis, he served in a variety of roles, from sales to hotel operations. He worked for several Jarvis hotels before moving to the corporate office to focus on sales. Norbury has received many professional accolades throughout his career, including “Leader of the Year” at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. In the U.K., he was recognized with several awards, including a National Sales Award, which is awarded to top sales executives across all industries. Originally from Royal Leamington Spa, England, Norbury received a diploma in hotel management from the Hotel and Catering International Management Association at the Henley College of Further Education in Coventry, England.
