Hong Kong -October 1, 2012 - Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East, the first ever upscale hotel in Tseung Kwan O, opens its doors today to welcome guests from all over the world. This iconic hotel built alongside the PopCorn shopping complex in Tseung Kwan O, is a stylish addition to the Hong Kong skyline.

All of its 359 rooms including 43 Club Rooms and 5 Club Suites are framed by floor to ceiling windows and offer magnificent views. An abstract vanity artwork printed on special finish mirror hangs behind the bed to create a strikingly artistic touch to the room. Room size ranges from 30sqm to 90sqm with a unique ceiling height of 2.85 meters.
The use of dark wood and glass matched with clean-cut lines and contemporary furnishings in earth tone colours exudes to give a warm yet relaxed atmosphere. All rooms are equipped with top-notch facilities for guests' convenience, including a 40” high-definition Sharp LED TV, iHome docking station with Bluetooth speaker, alarm clock and radio, ergonomic desk chair by Herman Miller, Simmons mattress, RFID door lock, high-speed wireless internet and a thoughtful touch to put the in-room safe in the bedside cabinet.
Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East offers 2,400 square meters of event space which includes 11 meeting rooms which is able to accommodate 1,600 guests for a sit down banquet and 2,000 guests for receptions.

The contemporary and dramatic suspended ceiling sculptures are stunning works of art, made up of individual pieces of clear and amber blown glass which can easily transform the ambience of the room with its seven colour lighting effects.
Diamond Rooms are the perfect venues for smaller group meetings - eight meeting rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offering natural daylight and three of the meeting rooms can be extended to an outdoor patio. This allows for more flexibility, while offering outdoor breakout sessions. An outdoor garden with designated walkway and direct lift access from meeting rooms to the venue make way for a grand entry for VIPs or celebrities. Surrounded by lush greenery, it creates a relaxing oasis for cocktail receptions and team building activities.
Also in the pipeline is an exciting line up of four restaurants and bars serving international cuisine and local flavors, which is set to become Tseung Kwan O hottest dining spots.
The roof-top Italian alfresco dining restaurant and bar, Cielo, boasts a scenic view overlooking Junk Bay. This chic bar is an ideal place to unwind and have a great evening out, offering world-class cocktails along with a wide selection of wine.
