Microtel Inn & Suites Opens in Estevan, Saskatchewan

November 2, 2012 - MasterBUILT Hotels, a joint venture between Superior Lodging Corp. and Jayman MasterBUILT celebrated the opening of Microtel's first Canadian prototype hotel in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

Estevan's newest and most anticipated hotel is situated on King Street with convenient access to shopping, dining, entertainment, the Leisure Centre, and Civic Auditorium just a few blocks away. The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Estevan is the city's first hotel to offer guests an indoor pool and waterslide and features an extensive range of complimentary amenities: deluxe hot continental breakfast, coffee, high-speed wireless Internet, weekday newspaper, indoor water park with hot tub, fitness center, parking and business centre. Guests also have access to valet cleaning service, a copy/fax / printing service, and a locker room for oilfield workers to store their gear.

The opening of the hotel has created ~20 permanent jobs with most of the positions being filled by local Estevan residents. "As a new business in Estevan, we are delighted to support the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation with a $5000 donation to aid in sustaining ongoing development of advanced healthcare for the community".

The next Microtel is slated to open in Timmins, ON later this year with construction scheduled to commence on hotels in Weyburn, SK, Lloydminster, SK, Fort McMurray, AB, Red Deer, AB, Blackfalds, AB over the next 6 months. There are currently two other Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham open in Canada in Woodstock and Parry Sound, ON, both of which represent the brand's older design concept.
