Puerto Rico's Doubletree San Juan Introduces New Executive Chef and F&B Director
February 15, 2013 - Doubletree San Juan introduces a new Food & Beverage team to oversee the signature restaurant, Cafe Pierre, at the Puerto Rican hotel destination. New Executive Chef Hector Rosario, responsible for the property's menu development, and new F&B Director Felix Vizcaino, accountable for the day-to-day operations, will join forces to bring an exceptional culinary experience to the popular business hotel.
Drawing on his passion for local cuisine, Chef Rosario effortlessly fuses distinct flavors with locally-sourced ingredients to construct unique menu items. Working alongside Vizcaino, who ensures the highest quality produce and superior customer service, the two will strive to make the dining experience memorable for guests. As the new culinary team, Rosario and Vizcaino will oversee the hotel's signature Cafe Pierre Restaurant, which serves international cuisine with Puerto Rican flair, in addition to events held throughout the property at the various meetings and banquet facilities.

A seasoned chef, Rosario brings nearly 16 years of experience to the Doubletree San Juan. Chef Rosario previously worked at the Puerto Rico Convention Center under the tutelage of Executive Chef Paul Budet, and is a graduate of the Culinary Arts at the Hotel School in Isla Verde, Carolina. Felix Vizcaino brings over 20 years of restaurant operations experience to the resort. His background includes opening over 17 restaurants in Puerto Rico, the United States, and Mexico.
