Vantage Hospitality Promotes Mullinix, Streamlines Development Team
CLEVELAND - March 13, 2013 - Vantage Hospitality Group, the world's eighth largest hotel company, continues to grow at a record pace each year thanks in part to a tireless and proactive membership development team. Vantage is proud to announce that the head of that division, Patrick Mullinix , has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Membership Development, and that everyone on the development team will now be cross-selling all brands under the Vantage umbrella.
Mullinix joined Vantage Hospitality in 2002 and has been directing development for the Americas Best Value Inn® brand. During his tenure, ABVI has set industry records for growth and currently ranks as the 10th largest hotel chain worldwide with over 1,000 properties. In addition, Mullinix has increased the total number of Americas Best Value Inns in Texas to over 120 locations, making it the fastest-growing hotel chain in the state.
In an effort to continue the unprecedented expansion of Americas Best Value Inn, Mullinix introduced the first new construction prototype for the brand in 2006 and was instrumental in the 2007 launch of ABVI's weekly webcasts.
Mullinix will now also oversee domestic development of the Lexington by Vantage® brand, which is a collection of inns, hotels and suites in the midscale to upscale segments. The company's soft brand, Lexington Legacy, is also off to a good start this year with new additions in Sacramento, CA and Bali, Indonesia.
“Since the economy is continuing to improve, new construction and conversions are increasing, so this is an opportune time to bolster our development team. Patrick has played an integral role in ABVI's remarkable growth, so it makes complete sense for him to head up Lexington's development as well. Having each membership director report to Patrick and be able to sell any brand in the Vantage family will offer additional coverage, visibility and sales opportunities,” said Lexington Group President Bill Hanley.
Vantage's development team consists of Regional Vice Presidents Steve Casey and David Hale , and Membership Development Directors Amgad Basily (Midwest Region), Don & Cheri Eaton (Mountain North Region), Kenneth Lisi (Northeast/New England Region), Brent Rohde (AZ, CA, NV), Dan Sweigert (Northeast Region) and Vic Vescovo (Southeast Region). Kash Joshi oversees development of Canadas Best Value Inn®.
