NEW ORLEANS, LA - October 21, 2013 - Best Western Premier Grand Plaza Hotel and Convention Center has decided to remove the hotel from the Best Western chain of hotels, announced Tom Mack, President & CEO of Matrix Hospitality Group.
Matrix Hospitality Group was engaged by the ownership of the hotel in early summer of this year in order to place a deeper focus on the efficiency and day to day operations of the asset and to deliver best in class service and experience to its loyal guests.
"The hotel has such a group heavy client base, which makes it the perfect addition to Matrix Hospitality's portfolio of group driven properties," said Mack. With the resurgence of downtown Toledo it was agreed that the Best Western flag was not the right fit for the predominantly group, local corporate business and high end social catering based hotel. Mack added, "We are confident that together with the hotel ownership, we can find the right balance for this landmark hotel in the downtown Toledo area."
