White Lodging Names New General Managers for Three Properties; Hotels in Colorado, Texas and Florida
MERRILLVILLE, Indiana - December 26, 2013 White Lodging is pleased to announce the following individuals have been named general managers within the last month across the company.
Livia Espada started as the general manager of the Residence Inn Lakewood in Lakewood, Colo. on Dec. 2. Espada started with White Lodging as a management intern in 2005 with Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows before becoming that hotel's director of services. In 2008, she was named the human resources manager for Renaissance Boulder and was promoted to operations manager at the same property. In 2012, she was promoted to the assistant general manager at the Courtyard Boulder Louisville. Livia received her hospitality management and tourism degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas in Brazil.
Dana Weiche has been promoted to the general manager of the Residence Inn Sugar Land in Stafford, Texas. Weiche started with White Lodging in 2002 as a guest service representative at the Courtyard Houston/ Sugar Land. She was quickly promoted, becoming the front office manager, operations manager and operations supervisor at the same hotel. In 2007, she switched gears to become the cluster sales manager for that hotel and the Residence Inn Sugar Land, before becoming the cluster sales manager for the Residence Inn Houston by the Galleria in 2009. In 2011, she was promoted to the assistant general manager of the Residence Inn Houston by the Galleria.
"I'm looking forward to continuing the success the hotel has had in guest service," Weiche said. "I'm also pleased to be going back to 'Sweet as Sugar Land' for my first general manager position, since that's where I started my career."
Michelle Malone has been promoted to the general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Boca Raton in Boca Raton, Fla. Malone started her hospitality career in 1994 as the assistant to the director of front office operations at the Point Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix. She continued her front desk experience at the Burbank Airport Hilton and the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. While at the Palmer House Hilton, she was promoted to be assistant director of reservations before becoming the director of hotel reservations at Kerzner International Resorts. She joined White Lodging in 2007 as the assistant general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Boca Raton.
"My hotel was recently renovated and I believe the renovation, paired with my hotel team, will take the property to new heights," she said.
