Benchmark Hospitality Names Robert Parody F&B Director for Costa d'Este Beach Resort

Houston, Texas, March 31, 2014 - Benchmark Hospitality International®, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has named Robert Parody director of food & beverage for Costa d'Este Beach Resort. Ed Riley, general manager for the property, Benchmark's Personal Luxury Resort® located oceanside in Vero Beach, Florida, made the announcement.

"It is with pleasure that I welcome Robert to Costa d'Este," said Mr. Riley. "He comes to us highly credentialed and with a talent for assembling top-drawer, award-winning food & beverage teams. He is a terrific addition to our executive leadership at the resort."

Robert Parody was previously director of food & beverage for Sea Pines Country Club of Hilton Head, South Carolina. He was highly successful in this position and together with his team built a nationally recognized wine program which won awards, including the Award of Merit and Distinction for the past six years from the International Wine Society. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Parody served as director of restaurants and private dining for The River House, an Auberge property also located on Hilton Head Island. Originally born in New York City and raised in the scenic Pocono Mountains of eastern Pennsylvania, Mr. Parody moved to the warmer climate of Hilton Head following service in the United States Navy. It was here that he met his wife, Paola, a native of Bolivia, and where he entered the food & beverage division of the hospitality industry.

Mr. Parody is a Certified Club Manager. He served as president of the Hilton Head Hospitality Association and secretary of the Food and Wine Festival. He was recently awarded the prestigious Wilmore Kendall Scholarship for continuing education in his profession. He and his wife have relocated to the Vero Beach area.
