MHI Names Markella Votsi as DoSM for ME London
LONDON - April 2, 2014- Meliá Hotels International announces that Markella Votsi has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for ME London, the ME by Meliá brand's flagship, five-star property known for cutting-edge design. In her new role, Votsi is responsible for developing, managing and monitoring the execution of the sales strategy to maximize both revenue and occupancy levels , to keep the hotel at the forefront of its competition.
Prior to joining ME London, Votsi was the Director of Sales for the Millennium Gloucester & Bailey's Hotels where she increased corporate rates, doubled the volume of residential meetings and developed a new high-end business and leisure base. Previously she was the Director of Business Sales for Hilton Worldwide in London and before that, was the Assistant Director of Sales at The Langham Hotel in London.

Votsi attended the University of Athens where she received a diploma in communications and media studies. She then attended Alpine College of Hotel & Tourism Management Studies where she furthered her education in hospitality sales and marketing, convention management and service.
