IHG Appoints Director of Sales Middle East

MARCH 21, 2007. IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has appointed Sarah Marron as the new Director of Global Sales Middle East to manage a newly structured global sales team based in Dubai.

Marron joins InterContinental Hotels Group with more than 12 year's experience in the hotel and travel industry. She takes on her new role following her previous position as Director of Key Accounts, UK and Ireland for Steigenberger Hotel Group and prior to this she was Global Sales Manager for Europe, Middle East & Africa for Pegasus Solutions Utell London.

Marron's primary function will be to lead and support the Middle East Global Sales team to identify and develop strategic partnerships with key accounts across the Middle East, focusing on the MICE, corporate and leisure segments.

Speaking about her move to the region Marron said, "The Middle East Global Sales team has enjoyed some major success stories in terms of boosting outbound and domestic business. This is a great time for me to join the team and help generate further growth, as well as strengthen the sales and operations support through existing and new systems and processes."
