DePalma Hotels & Resorts Appoints Scott Tarwater as Executive VP-Development
Arlington, TX - October 20, 2014 - Arlington, Texas-based DePalma Hotels & Resorts has appointed industry veteran Scott Tarwater as Executive Vice President-Development.
As Executive Vice President-Development, Tarwater will direct the company's public/private hotel and convention center strategies as well execute existing clients' new hotel & resort development plans.
Prior to joining DePalma Hotels & Resorts Tarwater served as Executive Vice President- Development for Springfield, Mo.-based John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts, the nation's leading independent builder, developer, owner and manager of upper-upscale full-service hotels, resorts and convention centers. Tarwater directed a strategic hotel and convention center development strategy in tertiary markets with significant demand generators. Ensuring the highest standards continued to be met, Tarwater's expertise contributed greatly to the success of the company's 78-hotel portfolio. The portfolio spanned 40 states, included 5.4 million square feet of meeting space under ownership and dominated awards from hotel brands represented (e.g. Embassy Suites, Hilton, Marriott, Renaissance and Holiday Inn).
