Jones Lang LaSalle Arranges Sale of Equinox Resort & Spa
One of North America's oldest resorts
APRIL 2, 2007. On behalf of its client, Olympus Real Estate Partners, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels is pleased to announce the sale of the Equinox Resort & Spa to HEI Hotels & Resorts. The 180-guestroom resort, located in the heart of Vermont's historic countryside, has a rich history of providing luxurious accommodations and service excellence for over 200 years.
The Equinox Resort & Spa offers a plethora of summer and winter activities, including golf, indoor and outdoor tennis, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Also available are classes at the Off-Road Driving School, British School of Falconry, Archery School and Orvis Fly Fishing and Wing-Shooting Schools. The 13,000 square-foot Avanyu Spa is named as only one of nine Leading Spas of the World in the United States, a draw for spa enthusiasts. The multi-million facility features ten treatment rooms and a 75-foot heated indoor swimming pool, and presents a significant expansion opportunity.
"The Equinox Resort & Spa is a landmark asset which benefits greatly from its location and history," said Jeffrey Davis, senior vice president, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. "The resort is scheduled for renovations in 2007, which will enable significant RevPAR upside potential through increased ADR from the higher quality product offering."
