Benchmark Hospitality Names Troy Mathews General Manager for Hotel Contessa in San Antonio, Texas
HOUSTON, TX. July 21, 2015 - The Woodlands. Benchmark Hospitality International®, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has named Troy Mathews general manager for Hotel Contessa. Greg Champion, executive vice president and chief operations officer for Benchmark Hospitality, made the announcement. A 20-year hotel industry veteran, Troy Mathews previously served as general manager for the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, located on the Caribbean island of Curacao. Prior to this appointment he was general manager of Hotel Arista near Chicago, where he began employment as food & beverage director. For many years, Mr. Mathews served in positions of increasing responsibility for luxury hotels and resorts throughout the state of Texas. He is a graduate of Aims Community College of Greeley, Colorado. Mr. Mathews resides in Austin.
