Kary Takach Appointed Director of Rooms of Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa

Takach brings more than 17 years of hospitality experience to her role among the pines

AUSTIN / BASTROP, TEXAS - December 29, 2015 - Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa named Kary Takach as director of rooms. In her role at the award-winning resort, Takach will manage and oversee room operations at the 491-room, Four Diamond destination. She will report to Michael Jokovich, area vice president and general manager, and serve as a member of the resort's Leadership Committee.

Takach brings to the position more than 17 years of industry experience. She began her hospitality career with Hyatt in 1998, joining the company after college as a corporate management trainee and assistant front office manager at Hyatt Regency Columbus. She then worked her way up through the ranks of the reservations and rooms management departments.

Takach is a seasoned professional with a unique perspective, having built her portfolio of experience with Hyatt, beyond Hyatt and at hotel and resort properties alike. Before joining Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, she served as general manager of Hyatt Place San Antonio-North/Stone Oak.

Before making her way to Texas in 2014, Takach served as director of rooms at Hyatt Morristown and Andaz Wall Street, as well as non-Hyatt properties like Emerald Greens Golf Resort & Country Club and Sandpearl Resort. She also worked in a mix of capacities at Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center, Grand Hyatt San Francisco, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa and Hyatt Regency Columbus. Her experience at these destinations included managing the front desk, concierge, food and beverage, guest satisfaction, safety, sustainability initiatives, enrichment programs, telecommunication, garage, laundry and other facets of hotel operations.
