First Hospitality Group Expands Executive Team

Leading Chicago area hotel management & development company hires three and promotes four

ROSEMONT, IL. January 15, 2016 — Rosemont, Ill.-based First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG), a leading national hotel management company focused on the Midwest, announced today an expanded executive team that will include four newly promoted team members and three new hires. First Hospitality Group, Inc. President and CEO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.

FHG has experienced tremendous growth in the past six years, working with more than 19 hotel brands and managing a portfolio of more than 60 properties throughout the Midwest.
“These leadership appointments signify our commitment to continued success and expansion in 2016 and beyond,” said Habeeb. “Each individual is an all-star in their own right, bringing unique skills and abilities to the team.”

Paul Hitselberger joins FHG as executive vice president of operations. He previously served as senior vice president at TPG hospitality where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of select and full service hotels. Wendy Stevens, who is directly responsible for generating revenue for all of FHG's properties, and corporate strategy has been promoted to executive vice president, and brought on Kelly Mascari, who has extensive experience in the hotel industry including previous roles at FHG, as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Daniel Smith, a long-time team leader with the company who, early on in his career became one of the youngest hotel general managers in Holiday Inn's history, has been promoted to senior vice president of asset management. Mary Pat Knight, who is responsible for the oversight of all people initiatives from HR to specialized leadership training programs, has been promoted to senior vice president of people services and has brought on Jessica Barrer, a seasoned multi-unit human resource as manager of people services. Roger Baker, the company's chief financial officer responsible for development, finance and accounting, has added the role of chief investment officer to his current areas of responsibility.
