FIRST HOSPITALITY GROUP, INC., ASSUMES MANAGEMENT OF A DETROIT METRO AIRPORT HOTEL SOON TO REOPEN AS A RADISSON
Rosemont, Ill., January 28, 2016 - Rosemont, Illinois-based First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG) announced that it has assumed management of a hotel at 31500 Wick Road in Romulus, Mich., which will reopen as the Radisson Hotel Detroit Metro Airport in mid-2016. FHG President and CEO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.
The 274-room hotel, which has been closed since mid-2012, is currently undergoing renovations and slated to re-open in summer 2016 upon completion.
The hotel, owned by RKJ Hotel Management, offers more than 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a dining room, fitness room, concierge lounge, coffee and snack bar and an indoor/outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. Extensive renovations will be made to the parking areas, restaurant, meeting rooms, common areas and guest rooms.
