Stamford Hotels Adelaide Unveils a 'Cool' New Look Management Structure
Stamford Hotels & Resorts has announced its highly experienced General Manager Russell Cool will be elevated to the role of Area General Manager overseeing its two five-star hotels in South Australia.
Mr Cool will oversee both Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide following Vice President Karl Unterfrauner's relocation to Stamford Hotels and Resorts head office in Sydney.
Mr Unterfrauner said Russell was an obvious choice for the role.
“Russell joined Stamford Grand Adelaide last year after working for many years in China. Since coming to Adelaide Russell has absolutely excelled in all areas of the role,” Mr Unterfrauner said.
“I am extremely sad to be leaving a city I have absolutely fallen in love with but feel very upbeat about leaving it in Russell's more than capable hands.”
Mr Cool brings more than 22 years of experience to the role with the past 12 years in senior management positions within the hotel industry.
“After moving to Adelaide from Hong Kong I can say with full confidence that the hotel sector in Adelaide is progressing. While the large influx of hotels into the market is a wonderful sign for the city, it also creates a scenario where more established hotels need to keep raising the bar higher and higher,” Mr Cool said.
