Two South Florida Sonesta Hotels Announce
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. March 7, 2016 - South Florida's two Sonesta Hotels have had a busy start to 2016 and are positioning themselves for growth, announcing six new hires and executive promotions. The appointments, which have taken place at Sonesta Coconut Grove and Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach, are effective immediately, including:
Daniel Meys - Meys has been promoted from director of food and beverage to director of operations for Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach. Meys brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the AAA Four Diamond hotel and prides himself on delivering service excellence to both his colleagues and guests.
Leandro Ortega - Ortega, who most recently served as director of human resources for Sonesta Coconut Grove, has been promoted to area director of human resources, overseeing both properties. With more than 10 years of experience in hospitality management, Ortega brings expertise in employee selection, training, team building, employee development and morale, budgeting and providing great customer service.
Tracy Spodeck- Promoted from director of revenue management for Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach, Spodeck now serves as the area director of revenue management, overseeing both hotels. Spodeck brings more than 21 years of experience within hospitality sales and revenue, serving an array of industries including leisure and corporate markets.
Cristina Mach - A new addition to Sonesta South Florida, Mach joins as food and beverage manager for Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach. With several years of hotel F&B management experience, Mach has extensive knowledge of hospitality etiquette, food preparation and superior customer service.
Mallory Anderson - Promoted from human resources and executive administrative assistant to human resources manager at Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach, Anderson has been part of the hotel's team since 2011. A true team player, she has supported her colleagues in a variety of ways throughout her time on property, which she will continue to do in her new role.
