Raymond Keane Appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at Z NYC Hotel
QUEENS, NY. August 10, 2016 - Z NYC Hotel announces the appointment of Raymond Keane as director of sales and marketing at the 100-room hotel known for its stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. In his position, Keane is responsible for sales and marketing efforts including marketing programs, sales plans, public relations strategies and annual budgets.
A leader in the hospitality industry with more than 20 years experience in the New York market, Keane brings a diverse background and wealth of knowledge to the Z NYC Hotel team. Keane joins the hotel after several years consulting in sales and marketing. Prior to this role, he was at The Helmsley Park Lane Hotel as the director of sales and marketing. During his nine-year tenure, he achieved growth, exceeded budget goals and created strategies to attract business from all feeder markets. Earlier, Keane worked at Raffles International Hotels & Resorts as director of global tour and travel sales in the Americas and The Wellington Hotel as the director of sales and marketing. Prior, he worked at St. Moritz where he quickly worked his way up to director of international sales. It was there that he learned to negotiate rate contracts, manage departments and increase share of international corporate travelers. Keane began his career at the Omni Park Central where he served in the operations and sales department for four years.
Born and raised in Ozone Park, Queens, New York, Keane attended Queens College where he earned his bachelor of arts in computer science. He continued on to earn a master's degree in business administration from Pace University. He is involved in the community and participates in organizations including the Long Island City Partnership as board member. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. He currently resides in Manhattan where he has lived for 20 years.
