MILWAUKEE, WI, January 14, 2008. Andrea Haralampopoulos has been named director of sales of Milwaukee's new 102-room Iron Horse Hotel, set to open early summer 2008. Haralampopoulos is an 18-year veteran of the hospitality industry and possesses invaluable experience in hotel marketing, sales and operations.

Haralampopoulos appointment as director of sales for the hotel is a natural progression for the industry expert who most recently served as corporate sales manager of Embassy Suites Hotel Downtown Chicago.

"Our primary focus is the delicate balance of modern luxury and motorcycle chic in a boutique hotel setting," explains Raul Leal, president of Desires Hotels. "Andrea's well-rounded experience in the advertising and hospitality industry makes her a natural fit for this exciting new property."

Haralampopoulos began her career in 1989 as an account assistant at Levine, Huntley, Schmidt & Beaver Advertising followed by a move into the hospitality industry in 1990 as hotel coordinator for the Sterling Hotel Group in New York City. Other hospitality experience includes corporate sales manager positions at Doral Court Hotel and Loews New York Hotel. Haralampopoulos also served as director of sales and marketing for the Amsterdam Hospitality Group and the Ramada Inn in Newark, NJ, as well as corporate sales manager at Furnished Quarters, a Corporate Housing Provider in New York.
