Andaz Appoints Pedro Villalobos as Food and Beverage Manager of Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo

Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo
has appointed Pedro Villalobos as Food and Beverage Manager. The
luxurious eco-retreat is located in the 1,400-acre private residential
and resort community of Peninsula Papagayo, a lush, tropical wilderness
community in Costa Rica surrounded by sapphire waters. Villalobos will
lead the resort's food and beverage team at the award-winning property
which operates multiple dining outlets including OSTRA, Chao Pescao, Rio
Bhongo and the Andaz Beach House.

beverage experience and deliver the most outstanding service to our
guests,” said Villalobos. “Being very familiar with the Latin culture,
growing up in Brazil and most recently working in Mexico, I am looking
forward to bringing the local culture and Costa Rican flare throughout
our four dining outlets, each providing guests a unique and splendid
dining experience.”

Villalobos brings an impressive roster of hospitality and culinary
experience from around the world to his new position at Andaz Costa Rica
Resort at Peninsula Papagayo. Discovering his passion for hospitality
and culinary arts early on, Villalobos started his career working at a
hotel front desk in his home city of São Paulo, Brazil. After moving to
Mexico, Villalobos worked for three years as the Restaurant Manager and
later as the  Food & Beverage Assistant Director for the St. Regis
Punta Mita where he helped open two restaurants and supported the
success of large-scale events. Prior to joining the Andaz Costa Rica
Resort at Peninsula Papagayo team, Villalobos started his journey with
Hyatt serving as the Food & Beverage Assistant Director on the
opening team for Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya.

Villalobos attended Centro Universitário Senac, a Hotel
Administration University in São Paulo. In his spare time, Villalobos
enjoys whether surfing or diving, something he does since he was very
young. He also love being with friends, cooking, and as a good Brazilian
whenever possible he make the famous "churrasco brasileiro".
