Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort Appoints Johanna Marlin as Director of Resort Sales
Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Johanna Marlin as director of resort sales. Marlin, who previously served as director of group sales at the resort, will now oversee resort sales including conference services.

Through her previous position as director of group sales, Marlin managed and supervised the group sales team, contributed to monthly group revenue forecasting and implemented a variety of programs and tactics to increase group sales at the resort. She will now be responsible for leading the group, transient, catering and golf sales team. In addition, Marlin will oversee the conference services team in charge of executing all meetings and events throughout the resort's 80,000 square feet of indoor meeting space in the conference center, and all outdoor event areas including The Sprouting Project with an aquaponic greenhouse, bee hives, Barrel Room, chicken coop and edible gardens.
Prior to her experience at Omni Hotels & Resorts, Marlin was the director of sales at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne and The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove Miami. She has also served as group sales manager and director of group sales at Mandarin Oriental Miami. During each position, Marlin provided strategic tactics to increase resort sales across various market segments. Through these experiences, Marlin gained a great depth of knowledge surrounding overall resort sales.
Marlin holds a Masters and Bachelor Degree in Marketing from the International University of Ecuador. Marlin also participated in a program at Master Connections Associates in Miami, which included training in Strategic Sales, Large Account Management and Effective Presentations.
