. October 14, 2008

SAN DIEGO, CA, August 23, 2005. Manchester Grand Resorts has selected Turner Construction to build the Grand Del Mar Resort. Turner has built 1100 separate hotel and condominium projects totaling over $12 billion in construction over the last ten years, including several projects in Southern California. Turner recently provided preconstruction and construction services for the 750-room, four-star Grand Californian hotel in Anaheim, California.

"Turner Construction is a general contractor with tremendous hotel experience and a reputation for quality and schedule to match," said Perry Dealy, Executive Vice President of the Manchester Financial Group, Inc., the overall corporate umbrella that oversees Manchester Grand Resorts, as well as all Manchester developments and business.

Altevers Associates Architecture and Planning has been selected by Manchester Grand Resorts to lead the team for the design and implementation of The Grand Del Mar resort. Altevers Associates has been designing resort properties and private golf and country club facilities for over thirty years. Their impressive roster of completed projects exhibits their expertise and extensive knowledge in the design, functionality, and the attention to detail required in designing country club and resort facilities. "Altevers Associates brings the resort design expertise to achieve the ownership's objective of a designing a magnificent luxury resort project," added Dealy.

Warren Sheets Design will design all of the interiors at The Grand Del Mar resort. His vibrant and prestigious career spans nearly three decades. Based in San Francisco, Mr. Sheets has designed the Eldorado Country Club in Indian Wells, the interiors for a Cessna citation V airplane, and a 200-foot Super Yacht. With partner Sharon Regan, this team's combined credentials include the high end Vintage Club in Indian Wells, the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, the Waldorf Astoria in New York, as well as numerous country clubs and exclusive residences in twenty states. Mr. Sheets entered the field of design while studying theater at UCLA, where he began designing sets for productions. In describing the look of his designs, Mr. Sheets said, "I do an eclectic mix with layers upon layers upon layers. And a whole lot of color...I am not afraid of color." Warren Sheets has been designing interiors for the Manchester Financial Group and Manchester Grand Resorts for over fifteen years, and is pleased to once again collaborate with this fine development team.

The Grand Del Mar will encompass a 260-room, luxury resort hotel and spa, along with 40 secluded, ownership villas, consisting of four-bedroom, four-bath luxury homes nestled into the rolling hills and canyons that surround the dynamic golf course in Del Mar, California. Twenty miles North of San Diego International Airport, The Grand Del Mar Resort & Spa is located at the very epicenter of the affluent La Jolla-Rancho Santa Fe-Del Mar triangle, and enjoys an ideal golfing climate with an average of over 300 days of sunshine a year. Special attention will be paid to the culinary experiences that the resort will offer, as well as the artistic and aesthetic touches applied throughout the property. Building designs will honor the architectural touches of visionaries from the early 1900's, including Addison Mizner (1872-1933), whose sun-washed, regional style launched the "Florida Renaissance" and defined the resort communities of Palm Beach and Boca Raton. The style and appeal are inspired by the decorative arts of Spain, Portugal and Morocco. The Villas Discovery Center opened onsite at The Grand Del Mar last week. The Discovery Center can be reached by calling 877-350-9509.

The golf course, designed by nationally acclaimed golf course architect, Tom Fazio, is a destination in itself, weaving like a natural tapestry throughout the resort, and will transition to a semi-private club upon the hotel's completion in early 2007. Upon that transition, only hotel guests, villa owners while in residence, and 100 centennial private members will share the quality golfing experience that only a private club can provide. The warmth and welcome of The Grand Del Mar Golf Club will be embodied in the 45,000 square foot clubhouse, and will incorporate amenities such as fine dining, generous meeting space, numerous patios, spacious locker rooms, spa opportunities and a large pro shop.
