Napa Valley’s Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection Appoints Donald Stamets as General Manager

Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection is pleased to announce the appointment of hospitality expert and proven leader, Donald Stamets as General Manager. In his new position, Stamets will oversee all operations of the 89-room resort including the highly acclaimed Solbar restaurant and award-winning Spa Solage located in the heart of Calistoga situated on 22 acres and surrounded by sweeping views of the Palisades and Mayacamas mountains and picturesque vineyards.

Stamets is a self-proclaimed foodie and grill master, which made choosing the idyllic Napa Valley as his next home an easy choice. With his gregarious energy and leadership skills, Stamets stands as a perfect addition to the Auberge Resort Collection team.

Most recently, he oversaw properties in Amelia Island, Orlando, Bedford Springs, Hilton Head and Jacksonville where he led a team of five general managers to drive revenue and customer engagement scores. Stamets also held top management positions at luxury properties including Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, Ritz-Carlton in Palm Beach, South Beach, and Orlando, Fla.

A goal driven leader, Stamets will focus on continuing the momentum for Calistoga as a top California wine country destination along with elevating Solage as the premier resort featuring modern facilities and accommodations along with innovative dining at Solbar and activities.

Stamets has over 15 years of experience in catering services and personally enjoys entertaining friends and family for dinner parties and events. He enjoys exploring each new city he resides in and has served as a board member for visitor bureaus in destinations such as Newport Beach and Amelia Island. An avid tennis fan, Stamets has attended all four Grand Slam events which include US Open, Wimbledon, French Open and Australian Open.

Stamets graduated Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management. He resides in Yountville, where he has an incredible view of local vineyards, mountains and hot air balloons taking flight.
