Scottsdale's Hotel Adeline Brings Desert Charm and Whimsical Style to Marriott International's Tribute Portfolio

213-Room Boutique Hotel Located in Upscale Old Town Scottsdale Marks Tribute Portfolio's Arizona Debut

USA, Scottsdale, Arizona. March 02, 2021

Marriott International's Tribute Portfolio has expanded into the Arizona market with the addition of Hotel Adeline, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. This uniquely stylish and effervescent boutique property is located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, an area known for upscale shopping, electric nightlife and exceptional dining options. Featuring an approachable desert vibe, whimsical mid-century modern aesthetic and irreverent persona, the property is an ideal addition to the portfolio of independent hotels characterized by captivating design, individual personalities and vibrant social scenes.

Hotel Adeline completed a $13 million dollar renovation in 2018, weaving contemporary design, bohemian charm and a uniquely playful personality throughout its 213 guestrooms, including five 700 square-foot suites. Individual touches include rainfall showers, 50" LG Smart TVs and desk units ideal for remote work and virtual meetings, and a neutral color palette and artwork paying homage to the surrounding Sonoran desertscape. Communal areas throughout the hotel encourage smart socializing, including an inviting lobby and lounge area with comfortable seating and breezy outdoor courtyards. The property also offers its signature Selfmade restaurant, a full-service eatery showcasing seasonal American fare and featuring an alfresco patio and fireplace.

A hip yet relaxing oasis in the fall and winter months evolves into a lively hotspot for soaking up the warm weather each spring and summer at Hotel Adeline. At the center of the property is Freestyle, a 3,000 square-foot zero edge pool and lounge lined with private cabanas and framed by spectacular views of the area's picturesque Camelback Mountain. Returning in April to Freestyle is the property's Liquid Sunshine live DJ sessions, taking place every Saturday. The program has been a Scottsdale summer staple since its 2019 debut, and features DJ entertainment, outdoor games and creative cocktails. Additionally, in 2021, the hotel will offer pink Bird Scooters for guests to explore the local community and a host of activities including social hours and outdoor yoga classes, all adhering to the strictest standards of safety and cleanliness.

As a newly minted member of the Tribute Portfolio, guests of Hotel Adeline can now earn and redeem Marriott BonvoyÔ points during their stays and enjoy all the benefits of staying as a member. Marriott BonvoyÔ is the global travel program from Marriott International, offering members an extraordinary portfolio of global brands, exclusive experiences on Marriott Bonvoy Moments and unparalleled benefits including free nights and Elite status recognition.

To celebrate its transition to the Tribute Portfolio, Hotel Adeline is offering a limited-time Tribute to Scottsdale package which includes stylish accommodations plus an Adeline Survival Kit which includes sunglasses, lip balm, sunblock, and a beverage float packaged in a reusable cotton logo tote bag. The package is priced starting at $179 per night and is bookable for stay dates through June 2021 by visiting www.hoteladeline.com.

Architecture & Design: Wellness is Key

Like every other facet of hotel operations, architecture and design firms are adapting their work to ensure the safety and well-being of both guests and staff. New ways to bring Wellness into hotel spaces are being explored and these solutions are taking on many forms. Hotel designs are incorporating more open floor plans, open air spaces, high ceilings, outdoor areas and operable walls into their spaces. Guests no longer want to be packed into tight areas. More "biophilic" elements are also being incorporated, offering guests the sense of being outdoors. Another trend is the reimagining of guest rooms to support remote work capabilities. Some hotels are converting empty guest rooms into office spaces, complete with effective lighting and suitable backgrounds for video conferencing. Dedicated Zoom Rooms are also becoming increasingly popular. The main goal is to provide guests with a positive experience in a space that feels safe and comfortable. These are some of the architecture and design subjects that will be covered in the November issue of the Hotel Business Review.
