Stephane Mercier Appointed General Manager for National Hotel in Miami Beach

The National Hotel—one of the city's instantly recognizable legendary properties nestled in the heart of the famed Art Deco district—has named Stephane Mercier as General Manager, a leadership position under which he will oversee day-to-day operations, execute revenue and sales strategies, lead internal teams, manage finances, and direct programs that curate an unforgettable and positive experience for all guests.

Mercier will manage and amplify the guest experience encompassing the iconic, adults-only luxury hotel's 101 rooms and suites, 36 deluxe cabanas, and Miami Beach's longest infinity-edged pool, as well as food and beverage programs, including Mareva 1939, Aqua Club Bar and Grill, and Bar 1939.

Having diligently worked his way up the ranks of the hospitality industry, Mercier brings years of experience serving in a management capacity for a myriad of award-winning upscale resorts across the globe. His career trajectory encompasses Director of Operation tenures at the opulent Hotel Barrière Le Normandy and Fouquet's Paris in France, prior to accepting General Manager roles at various prestigious hotelier chains like the Hilton Paris, the Conrad Miami and Cartagena (the first five-star luxury resort of its kind in the Colombian city), and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts for Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead. Here, Mercier's keen leadership skills helped secure the stately Georgia resort a coveted recognition as the Top Atlanta City Hotel 2022 by Travel+Leisure magazine, among other notable industry awards.
