Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is pleased to announce the appointment of Taniesha Boursiquot as Director of Spa and Wellness. Boursiquot brings over 10 years of industry experience to the renowned hotel.

"I am thrilled to join the Spa team at Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead. I look forward to bringing my experience and ingenuity to further assist this evolving story, which aims to define the art of health and wellness within the Buckhead community," said Taniesha Boursiquot. "Wellness does not just mean ‘spa,' it also includes fitness and nutrition, and this is where I intend to expound on our current offerings. By amplifying guest experiences to the next level, my team and I aspire to provide a continuous throughline of sophisticated luxury, from beginning to end."

Boursiquot sets out to break the barriers between management and staff as she has a unique understanding of how spas work from the inside out through climbing up the industry ladder. She not only brings ideas but practical solutions as well to elevate experiences. Her ambition for her team's success is what drives her to put in motion new partnerships and guest programming for the patrons of the Waldorf Astoria Spa.

Social Media: Tailor Made Content

Social media has evolved into an indispensable medium for the hospitality industry. It has forever altered how hotels communicate with their customers and it has redefined how advertising and marketing are conducted. Currently, the biggest social media platforms are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok. Each has their own appeal and demographic. In order to reach the users of an individual social media platform, it is necessary for hotels to tailor their content to each platform's audience. For example, LinkedIn is more business-oriented so content might be directed to conference organizers, meeting planners, travel agencies, etc. Facebook has a more mature user base so they might be looking for family vacation packages, cultural experiences, or recreational sightseeing trips.  TikTok is popular with a younger audience who might want to know about concerts, sporting events, and gaming competitions, while Pinterest and Instagram focus on exquisite visuals and aesthetics. The February Hotel Business Review will document how some hotels are successfully integrating social media strategies into their operations.
