The Galt House Hotel Announces Kendall Linhart as Executive Chef
The Galt House Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Kendall Linhart as its new Executive Chef. Linhart debuts his new title after five years since joining The Galt House Hotel's culinary team in 2017.
A true Kentucky local, Linhart possesses a unique expertise in Southern flavors - honoring the classic and nostalgic feelings evoked by tried and true American cuisine. Drawing from a bold curiosity and vast culinary abilities, Linhart has continued to be an integral part of the success of The Galt House Hotel's evolving culinary program.
Possessing an admirable and respectable background, Linhart's professional career spans over 14 years. He honed his craft at the Culinary Institute of America, one of the most prestigious and acclaimed institutes in the country. Linhart then spent years in New York City under the tutelage of talented culinary names - Chef Daniel Boulud and Chef Michael White, respectively.
Drawn back to his home state of Kentucky after nearly a decade of training and leadership in New York's inventive culinary scene, Linhart reconnected with his roots at Louisville's iconic downtown waterfront hotel, bringing a contemporary, urban flair to the Bourbon Capital. Since returning, Linhart has been an instrumental leader, contributing to the opening of numerous new dining concepts at The Galt House Hotel, facilitating the creation of innovative new dishes and fostering the development of the hotel's talented team of culinary professionals.
Linhart will oversee all restaurants located throughout The Galt House Hotel, along with the hotel's banquet culinary team, and is committed to serving high-quality dishes using only the finest ingredients and techniques.
