Scott Eger Appointed General Manager for Sofitel Adelaide
Sofitel Adelaide is pleased to announce the appointment of passionate South Australian, Scott Eger, to the position of General Manager.
Scott takes over the leadership position following the successful launch of the award-winning Sofitel Adelaide to the world in November 2021.
Scott brings more than 20 years of experience to this general management role, having worked in senior executive and general management roles for leading properties throughout Australia and abroad during his distinguished career.
"I am thrilled to be leading Sofitel Adelaide forward as we continue to elevate luxury in our region's newest international hotel," Scott said.
"Originally from South Australia, I have enjoyed seeing the considerable development within the state's hospitality and tourism sector over recent years. To be part of this leading property which plays such an important role in this growth is a tremendous honour."
During his career, Scott has worked for an array of five-star hospitality brands, with time spent on Hayman Island at Australia's most awarded Luxury Resort, and with Fairmont Hotels and Resort in the United Arab Emirates.
He has enjoyed a long tenure with Accor, first joining the Reef Hotel Casino (formerly the Sofitel Reef Casino Hotel) in an executive management role before moving to NSW where he held a number of senior executive and general management positions, including at the iconic Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.
Scott has an accomplished commercial and operational background and completed a Master of Business Administration at University of South Australia in 2018. He brings a genuine passion for service engagement, outstanding culinary and wine experience that will continue to stand the hotel in good stead - not least of all across its food and beverage outlets which include Club Millésime, Garçon Bleu and and Déjà vu Champagne Bar.
