Charles Naberhaus Named Managing Director

TAMPA, FL, July 24, 2007. InterContinental Tampa - the newest luxury hotel in Tampa - welcomes executives to its opening team. With a new managing director, director of learning & development, chef concierge, executive chef and rooms director, the hotel is poised for success. With an $18 million investment within Florida's largest business district, InterContinental Tampa heralds the emergence of a long awaited luxury offering in one of Florida's most loved destinations.

New Managing Director Charles Naberhaus comes to Tampa after seven years in Phoenix, AZ at the Point South Mountain Resort. Prior to Arizona, Naberhaus was at the Westin Stonebriar Resort. A graduate of Florida State University's Hotel and Resort Management program, Naberhaus brings 20 years of senior level leadership in luxury hotels and resorts to InterContinental Tampa.

Along with more than 15 years of experience, Director of Learning & Development Jeanette Bongiorini brings a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology to her position. Bongiorini has made a successful career of identifying, creating and implementing innovative approaches to organizational effectiveness and team training. Bongiorini will train co-workers to provide and maintain the highest level of luxury service that has come to be expected of the InterContinental name.

Chef Concierge Cinny McCaulley boasts 10 years of experience working in concierge services at leading luxury hotels, along with a wealth of experience in sales and marketing. McCaulley will lead the hotel's innovative concierge program deemed "In The Know." Through this program McCaulley will focus on providing guests with authentic and enriching local experiences within the vibrant city of Tampa.

Bringing more than 10 years of culinary experience to the table (and kitchen) Executive Chef Jonathan Luft will provide guests with the finest in cuisine. Working at luxury hotels and resorts, Luft comes to the InterContinental Tampa from his most recent position at Point South Mountain Resort in Phoenix, AZ. Luft is well known for his imaginative and creative cuisine.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with 10 years of experience in luxury hotel management, Rooms Director John Gaffney joins InterContinental Tampa. Gaffney will provide consistent standards of quality and exceptional guest experiences within the hotel's 323 rooms and 22 suites, including two presidential suites and 10 business suites.
